This is a candle to honour  New Zealand's national symbol the Ponga or Silver Fern. For the Māori people of NZ the Ponga has always symbolized strength, resilience and connection to the land. It is thanks to this meaning that the fern has since been used in many aspects of sports, airline travel, monetary coins and tourism throughout Aotearoa. We like to think of our Ponga candle as our connection to nature and the many glorious ferns in our endemic forests.
